Dear Friends & Supporters,
The Jeanette Shell Book Scholarship Fund, Inc. (JSBSF) is a certified, registered and tax exempt 501(c)3, non-profit New Jersey Corporation established in 1998 by dedicated and concerned citizens of the Vauxhall community. Its mission is to provide financial assistance to Union High School graduates who wish to attend postsecondary institutions. The JSBSF recognizes and continues the vision of Mrs. Jeanette Shell, a retired long term employee of the Township of Union Public Library, who supported minority students many years before the corporation was formed.
Since 1998, the fund has made a financial impact on the lives of many students. Officers and board members of the JSBSF strive to maintain the goals and objectives as set forth by the original founders.
As the twentieth (20th) year of JSBSF approaches, we pause just long enough to celebrate our success and to recognize some at a Luncheon held on Saturday April 29, 2017 from 12:00-3:00 PM for their service to JSBSF and to the Vauxhall community. This letter seeks your support by making a request for you to purchase an advertisement in our 20th Anniversary Souvenir Journal.
In addition, if you would like to attend the ticket cost is $35 ($18 of which is tax-deductible). The venue will be the Aenon Baptist Church, 1500 Brown Avenue, Union, NJ. For additional information you may contact me at (908) 687-3959, Mrs. Karen People at (908) 964-4135, Mrs. Bertha Little-Mathews at (908) 687-1755 or Mrs. Donna Haly at (908) 964-4962.
We thank you in advance for your participation and support.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Wimphrey W. Jenkins,
