The Jeanette Shell Book Scholarship Fund, established upon the retirement of Mrs. Shell, seeks to continually honor her for her forty-five years of dedicated service she rendered to her community by aiding graduating high school seniors or post-secondary school students each year with financial assistance.
An Additional Award…
In 1998, on the recommendation of Mrs. Jeanette Shell, an additional award was established to honor the work of the late Mrs. Judith Murphy and Mrs. Rose Sloan for their contribution during their tenure at the Vauxhall Branch of the Township of Union Public Library. This award will be presented to graduating high school senior or post-secondary school students with a demonstrated financial need.
